This package is a great place to start because it is exploratory & low-risk.
Usually, we blow our clients minds with the wealth of information that we find, but occasionally we find dead ends early in their family tree. Sometimes our ancestors were adopted, their fathers were unknown, records weren’t filed, or for any other number of reasons the line stops. It’s rare for a family tree to die out early but we understand that our clients may not want to risk signing up for a larger package and not find many results. In the Dreamers Package, we will spend some time diving into your family tree to make sure that your tree is going to be “fruitful” and that we are going to be able to trace it back. Most of our clients choose to upgrade to an Explorers Package, or a Pioneer Package, and when they do so, their Dreamers Package fee is applied as credit on those larger packages.

NONE OF OUR PACKAGES FIT?
Sometimes our clients genealogy needs, and goals don’t fit into one of our packages, and for those situations we have an hourly rate. Some of these services include specific research, repository visits for document searches, family tree reviews, video production, and many more services.
Our clients can use our hourly rate to have research and reports prepared about specific ancestors that were found and reported in the Explorers Package ancestors highlight sheet. This feature is popular with ancestors such as Civil War veterans. Sometimes clients choose to have specific reports made about one or more veteran ancestors, without investing in a much larger Pioneer Package.

GET TO KNOW YOUR ANCESTORS!
In the Pioneer Package we learn WHO your ancestors are and DETAILS about their lives. Our clients select a branch of one of their grandparents and we research and professionally report the lives of those ancestors, as far back as can be verified, or to the 3rd great-grandparents of that section of the tree. This package usually traces ancestors into the early 1800s and sometimes into the late 1700s depending on what generation we begin on.
We discover interesting facts, photos, documents such as birth, marriage, death, occupations, locations, military records, and more. In this package we often find veterans of World War II, World War I, Spanish American War, Civil War and War of 1812.
Each ancestor is reported, and a story can be put together of where they lived, who with, what their occupation was, their living status, value of their property, their education level and so much more. We include documents such as WWI and WWII Draft Registrations showing our ancestors employer, their height, weight, hair and eye color, complexion, and even their signatures. We include birth and death certificates showing how they died, as well as photos of their headstones.
We include marriage licenses and certificates which help us put your ancestors story together. We include newspaper articles which include obituaries or sometimes tell the story of forgotten family tragedies. And of course, everyone’s favorite, photos of your ancestors!
Each professionally written genealogy report is broken into sections. The summary of research findings explains overall facts of the family tree, including where they lived, who they were in the community, their occupations, the proven or likely ethnic backgrounds of the ancestors, potential Native American connections, the biggest mysteries found, and any other interesting fact found.
The genealogist comments section gives our genealogist an opportunity to report to you other facts of relevance and insights on your family tree. The report also includes a special section that lists military veterans found, and who they served with.
The client will be provided with this report via email, and many choose to have their report organized into a binder that we will produce and ship to you at our cost. Some choose to get additional binders produced to give to their family members. Many of our clients ask family members to chip in to cover the investment of the project! These binders will definitely become cherished family heirlooms. Binders also come with a thumb drive with all the reports saved on them.

DEEP INTO YOUR ANCESTRY!
The Settlers Package is an extension of your project built in a Pioneer Package, so we need to do a Pioneer Package first. The Settlers Package takes us deep into Colonial America, with the goal of finding countries of origin, while using public and online sources containing information about your deep ancestors. In this package we find immigrants, often discovering where they came from, where they immigrated to, and sometimes even ship information.
This package is where we find Revolutionary War and French and Indian War Veterans. In the Settlers Package, we do deep research on all of your veteran ancestors, including those that we found in the Pioneer Package. We learn about their involvement in wars, and their units they served with, often proving where they were, if they served as POWs, and what battles they took part in. Imagine finding out that you have an ancestor that took part in a famous battle like Gettysburg or was present at Valley Forge with George Washington! Knowing that our DNA was present for some of these events, makes those battles much more real to you.
Just like the Pioneer Package, we report the information that we find on each ancestor. These projects become quite large because the further that we go back, the larger the tree becomes. For some ancestors, we will find very little, but for others, we find several pages worth of information. We need to understand, the further we go back in history, the smaller the population was, and there are usually literally hundreds of thousands of people descended from our ancestors that lived during American Independence. This means that often one of our ancestors has been researched and reported on by many people, and for many years. The ability to share this information helps us to provide the stories to our clients. Also, over the years local historical organizations have researched the early members of their communities and produced publications that we can sometimes access to include in your report.
A unique feature of the Settlers Package is that when we find a recognizable surname, we will attempt to connect you to famous people from history, by finding a common ancestor, and letting your know your connection, such as a 3rd cousin. Imagine finding out that you are related to one of the founders of your nation!
The Settlers Package is priced by the hour because it doesn’t have a specific stopping point, it just depends on what we find. We have done several Setters Packages in less than five hours, and we have done many into the thirties. The average Setters Package is 16-20 hours. Sometimes our clients choose to put a cap on the hours. If our project is short, it’s inexpensive but you don’t find many discoveries. If it is long, the investment is higher, but we will have found a treasure trove of information!
If you have already chosen in the Pioneer Package to have us produce a binder of your reports, there is no additional fee to add the information found in the Settlers Package, or you can order one at this time as well.
