Settlers Package

The Settlers Package is a powerful extension of the Pioneer Package. (You must complete a Pioneer Package first.) 

 This package takes your research deep into Colonial America. We continue to research and report on every ancestor in this branch of your family tree, working backward in time until we either reach a dead end or find your immigrant ancestors. Along the way, we uncover rich personal details about their lives — including occupations, land ownership, family connections, religious affiliations, roles in early colonial communities, court records, wills, and how they contributed to the growth of early America. We work to identify their country of origin using public and online records. We frequently locate immigrants, determine exactly where they came from, where they settled in America, and sometimes even discover ship records and arrival details.

What You Can Discover

– Rich details about your ancestors like those found in the Pioneer Package (occupations, land ownership, family connections, and more)

– Revolutionary War and French & Indian War veterans

– Detailed military service information for all veterans found (including those from your Pioneer Package)

– Your veteran ancestors’ units, battles, involvement in key events, and whether they were injured or prisoners of war

– Where your ancestors lived and their migrations to different areas and states, including when they lived in each location

– Important events in American History that your ancestors were a part of

– Your ancestors’ rise and/or decline in social and financial status

– And so much more!

Imagine learning that one of your ancestors fought at Gettysburg, froze and trained with George Washington at Valley Forge, or was present and took part in another famous event in American history! Knowing your DNA was present at these pivotal events makes history feel much more personal and real.

Your Professional Report

Just like the Pioneer Package, we deliver a clear, well-organized report. Each ancestor gets their own section. Because we are going much further back in time, these reports are often significantly larger. Some ancestors may have only a few details, while others can fill several pages.

We also draw from local historical publications and the work of other researchers when available. A unique feature of the Settlers Package is that when we find a recognizable surname, we actively search for connections to famous people in history and show you exactly how you are related (for example, a 3rd cousin to a Founding Father).

Pricing

The Settlers Package is priced by the hour because every family tree is different and there is no fixed stopping point.

– Most projects take 16–20 hours on average. 

– Some are completed in under 5 hours, while others reach 30+ hours. 

– You may choose to set an hourly cap if desired.

 Shorter projects are more economical but yield fewer discoveries. Longer projects require a greater investment but often uncover a true treasure trove of information and connections.

Binders & Delivery

If you ordered a binder with your Pioneer Package, we will add all new Settlers Package findings to it at no extra charge. You can also order one or several binder/s at any time.
